Snow Man

A thousand snowmen dot the land
in the dim post-blizzard chill
each looks as though he is well fed
a man who lives for every thrill

The eyes are always made of coins
for he refused the eyes of coal
he deems it only worthless stuff
and makes its death his major goal

A dark cigar of cuban make
is used to make his largish nose
and from his mouth a stream of air
- hot air like steam continually rose

The fallen prophet speaking doom
of warming caused by fossil fuels
proposing "greener" ways and means
to grow his mountain of bright jewels

And gazing at the endless snow
the earth encased in winter bliss
he boldy speaks prophetic tones
"Man-made warming causes this"
